The article considers the growth of automation and the increasing use of robotics and their impact upon jobs and the economy. It also examines how the increasing concentration of wealth into the hands of the G7 nations has been challenged by the rise of information technology since the 1990's and how governments need to pay more attention to their domestic social policies to provide retraining for displaced workers.
