AQA Business - Strategic Positioning
A new range of materials aimed at supporting teachers of the AQA A Level in Business. This presentation is designed to cover the topic of strategic positioning and has been adapted to meet the specific requirements of the AQA specification. The presentation analyses the strategic positioning options available to a business with a specific reference to both Porter’s generic strategies and Bowman’s strategic clock. It analyses low cost, differentiation and focus strategies and then considers some of the main influences that act upon a firm’s positioning strategy. It proceeds to then examine the value of different strategic positioning strategies before concluding with an evaluation of competitive advantage and the difficulties firms face in maintaining their advantages in the modern market.
