A new range of materials aimed at supporting teachers of the Edexcel GCSE (9-1) in Business. This presentation is designed to cover the topic of organisational structures. It considers the important role that organisational structures play in a business with a specific examination of flat and hierarchical structures and their benefits and drawbacks. It then looks at the impact of centralised and decentralised structures before moving on to consider the importance of effective communication and examining what happens within a business who are experiencing either insufficient or excessive levels of communication. Finally, the presentation examines the changing nature of work and looks at part-time, full-time and flexible working, temporary, permanent and freelance contracts and concludes with a look at how technology has affected work with regards to remote working and efficiency. The pack contains a starter and plenary activities, class activities, knowledge questions, key word definitions and an examination style question, all complete with suggested answers.
