AQA Business - Assessing Innovation
A new range of materials aimed at supporting teachers of the AQA A Level in Business. This presentation is designed to cover the topic of assessing innovation and has been adapted to meet the specific requirements of the AQA specification. The presentation considers the pressures for innovation and examines the concepts of product and process innovation. It then looks at the value of innovation before examining some of the main ways in which a firm can demonstrate innovation. This includes an assessment of Kaizen, research and development, intrapreneurship and benchmarking. The pack concludes with an assessment of how firms can protect their intellectual property rights using patents and copyright and the impact of innovation upon the functional areas of a business. The pack contains the Quick Fire Five knowledge questions, a short objective test and an essay question all complete with suggested answers.
