A new range of materials aimed at supporting teachers of the Edexcel GCSE (9-1) in Business. This presentation is designed to cover the topic of revenue, costs and profit and has been designed to meet the specific requirements of the Edexcel 1BS0 specification. This is a DOUBLE lesson presentation with the first lesson considering the concept of revenue, looking at how it differs from profit. It also examines variable, fixed and total costs of a business, and looks at the role of interest and its calculation. The second half of the presentation contains a separate lesson on the topic of break even. The presentation considers the concept of break-even, its calculation, the use of diagrams, the margin of safety and its benefits and drawbacks. Overall, the pack contains a starter and plenary activity, class activities, knowledge questions, BBC Bitesize material, key word definitions and an examination style question, all complete with suggested answers.
